Mark Eckard, CFP®

Raised in the mountains of Western Maryland, Mark moved to Lake Charles with his family upon his honorable discharge from the US Army. Mark graduated with honors from McNeese State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance. Mark is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 registrations with LPL Financial. Mark co-founded Abate & Eckard, Financial Advisors in 2016.
Mark is very active in the community and is serving his second term on the Lake Charles City Council. He is a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon. Mark is also a member of the Louisiana High School Officials Association and umpires high school softball. He also likes to play golf and duck hunt in his spare time.
Mark is married to Kimberly who owns Level Five Salon and they have 2 children Jessica and Doug and 7 grandchildren.
